You have noticed that you gave Metformin 1000mg to your patient John David in room 12 who is not diabetic which is supposed to be given to patient David John in room 15. In this incident, what would you do?
- I will recognise the possible consequence of error and the importance of patient safety, and takes measures to reduce the effects of harm
- I will check the stability of the patient by taking observations, informs the nurse in charge and medical team of the event, and seeks advice
